While winter has us in its grips up here, the weather is warm and sunny Down Under where we find our attention midway through the Australian Open. From the tennis kits of Nike and Adidas in their aquatic palettes of blues and greens, we take our inspiration from the colors of the sea and bring a little summer to you…

Supreme x Sotheby’s

On January 25th, Sotheby’s will auction the only privately owned collection of every Supreme skate deck ever manufactured in the online-only sale “20 Years of Supreme.” Spanning 20 years of production, the archive includes all 248 decks created by Supreme from 1998–2018, passionately collected over decades by owner Ryan Fuller. The archive is being offered as a single lot and is estimated to sell at $800,000 – $1,200,000.

This landmark archive interweaves streetwear, luxury, art and skate culture. Established in 1994, Supreme began as a skateboarding and fashion shop in downtown NYC that has grown into a global brand with a massive cult-like following. Supreme started producing their own skateboards in 1998 and have collaborated with the most coveted brands over the last 20 years – most famously with Louis Vuitton. The complete Louis Vuitton Boite skateboard trunk with tool kit, trucks, and wheels is also included in the lot.

Supreme is equally known for their skateboard collaborations with such prominent artists as George Condo, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Richard Prince, KAWS, Marilyn Minter, Nate Lowman, and Takashi Murakami, among others that are part of this collection. This online-only sale is open for bidding through January 25th, and will be on exhibition in Sotheby’s New York City galleries until January 20th. Many of these individual skateboard decks are also currently available at GC/EDITIONS.

31 Days of Digital Fitness!

Happy New Year and New Body… or Get Back The Old Body! If you’re like most of us December jingles left some January jiggles, but luckily there have never been so many workout choices to burn off those lingering lbs.

Every January we offer a month’s worth of options in what we call the 31 Days of Fitness. With the boom in at-home fitness offerings from luxe high-end equipment like the Peloton bike and Mirror interactive home gym, to streaming fitness classes from Classpass Live and Obe, to workout apps like Aaptiv and Asics studio, we’ve decided to make our 2019 theme the 31 Days of Digital Fitness. As usual, your fearless editor will be sampling a different workout every day and highlighting all the fun and effective ways to get all our 2018 bodies into 2019 shape. With classes you can stream any place and any time, there are no excuses!

So here we go! Most all of these classes are offering free trials right now so why not join us and give one a try! For easy reference we’ve marked each workout with a 👍 or 👎. If you’ve got Roku, Apple TV, or Google Chromecast, the workouts can be synced with your TV too.

January 1: CLASSPASS LIVE. After a New Year’s Day run this morning, I decided some strength training would be the perfect compliment to my cardio. I signed up for the Classpass Live trial offering unlimited classes free for 1 month. Classpass revolutionized the fitness industry with a subscription service that allows members to book and take thousands of different classes at the most popular fitness studios. Now those options are available at home streamed live or on demand from wide selection of Classpass’s own workouts, as well as classes from other studios. I opted for Full Body with Alex Redelico, a compact 35 minute workout with light weights that flew by and hit all the major muscle groups. Alex was the right mix of pep and push, and I’d take this class again – definitely if pressed for time!👍👍  Classpass Live is $19/month with free 1 month trial.  Read More
