Lady Liberty On the Run

It’s Marathon weekend here in NYC and to commemorate this always epic event, Saucony has released a special limited edition of their Freedom ISO running shoe. The NYC Freedom ISO celebrates the 2017 NYC Marathon and the iconic symbol of New York City, The Statue of Liberty, in all her green patina glory. Available for both men and women in slightly different hues, the NYC Freedom ISO features Saucony’s full-length EVERUN™ midsole, noted for delivering continuous cushioning throughout your run, no matter the distance.

The NYC Freedom ISO features Saucony’s dynamic ISOFIT™ system and a breathable mesh upper, with engineered overlays embellished in a liberty-green metallic glow. The sole is speckled with copper-colored flecks, reminiscent of Lady Liberty’s original copper-brown hue, and shiny copper covers the lace tips. The outsole displays her signature torch. Other details include an imprint of her crown on the sockliner, and NYC is printed on the heel tab.

This special edition shoe also honors runner Ryan Shay, who tragically passed away 10 years ago during the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in NYC’s Central Park. Saucony has made a donation to The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc, in his memory, and The Saucony family continues to honor Shay’s life with an annual private sunrise run during NYC Marathon weekend that finishes at Ryan Shay’s memorial bench in Central Park.

Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate NYC, its marathon, and a very special runner with this awesome running shoe that delivers a winning combination of enhanced energy return and continuous cushioning from your first step to your last.

The NYC Freedom ISO is now available at www.saucony.com.
